- What is superemotion?
- superemotion is an emotionally intelligent AI you talk to in your browser. It understands your emotions, the people around you and what you are going through, and it carries that understanding from one conversation to the next. Unlike a general-purpose chatbot, it does not start from nothing every time you open it.
- How is superemotion different from ChatGPT or other AI companions?
- Two differences. First, memory: superemotion builds a private map of your life — the people in it, where they are, what happened and what is coming — rather than keeping a transcript, so the right detail comes back at the right moment. Second, tone: it does not open with reflexive validation or ask how that made you feel. It responds to what you actually said, including noticing a pattern when there is one.
- What does superemotion remember?
- It remembers the people, places, events, commitments and things that come up in your conversations. A free account holds up to 60 of them, up to 200 relationships between them, and up to 400 facts hanging off them. You never fill anything in — it reads the conversation back after replying and records what it found.
- How does the memory actually work?
- Three steps. You mention something in passing. After the reply is sent, superemotion reads the conversation back and saves what it found as a fact, with its type, how it connects to you and when it was true — a new home replaces an old one, and the old one keeps its date. When that person or place comes up again, it follows the links and brings in at most three things that matter, and nothing that does not.
- Is my data encrypted?
- Yes. Every message, every conversation title, and the names, details and facts superemotion remembers about your people are encrypted before they reach the database, each account under its own key. A stolen copy or a backup shows scrambled text, not your words. Postgres itself refuses any row that is not yours, on every read and every write.
- Can anyone at superemotion read my conversations?
- Technically, yes — and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. The per-account keys are derived from a secret superemotion holds, because an AI that has to answer you has to be able to read you. Encryption here protects your words from a stolen database, not from us. We do not read them, and nothing you say trains a model, but that is a commitment we are making rather than a limit on what we could do.
- Are my conversations used to train AI models?
- No. Replies are written on AWS Bedrock, which does not use your conversations to train models. superemotion's own traces record timing and cost, never what you said.
- How much does superemotion cost?
- Nothing today. superemotion is in early access and is not priced yet. A new account receives a one-time grant of 300 credits, which is about 150 exchanges, and nothing is charged.
- Is superemotion therapy?
- No. superemotion is not a crisis service and not a substitute for care from a person. If you are in danger, contact your local emergency number.
- What do I need to use superemotion?
- A modern web browser and an account. There is nothing to install.
